And another release candidate:

http://download.linuxsampler.org/dev/wi ... _setup.exe

Besides further fixes, this one includes the recently discussed VST state saving (fx sends and midi maps) and it allows to install 64 bit VST and 32 bit VST version of LinuxSampler alongside on a 64 bit windows machine.

I have a problem.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong here.

I use Linuxsampler as VST in Reaper, Windows XP.

I converted an AKAI cd to gig.
When I only use 1 sound every thing works great, and it saves the sound with the "song" (I use reaper)
But when I use 3 sounds in Linuxsampler an load the song it says--

Applying global stream/voice limits (it stays there)

When I hit cancel it says -
There are "8" pending tasks. Do you really want to cancel

How do I solve this.

Have a nice day

Linuxsampler is a great sampleplayer.

This feels familiar, I think we already fixed a problem like that. Are you using the latest version, the 20090704 one cuse posted about above?

Yes, I'm using the latest version.

I will try to reinstall and if I get it working I'll come back and tell you.

Have a nice day

I also think that you probably still use an old version. We had that problem in the past and we fixed it. We couldn't reproduce it anymore with the latest pre-release version.

Ok, but maybe you still have some old Fantasia version installed. If you once forgot to uninstall LinuxSampler and just executed a newer LinuxSampler installer, you will certainly still have an old Fantasia version installed. And when you use LinuxSampler as VST and start Fantasia from there, it will just look for some Fantasia in the LinuxSampler directory and pick the first one it finds.

So please check your LinuxSampler directory and if there are still old Fantasia jar files, then delete the old ones. Or uninstall LinuxSampler, remove the whole LinuxSampler directory (if there is still one) and re-install LinuxSampler with the latest pre-release installer.

Just reporting in on the new release candidate. This new version works very well and has apparently fixed the bugs in the previous public beta. I haven't stress tested the newest version, but it seems "snappier" than the prior beta.

Three possible bugs encountered:
1. The instrument database function works when pointed at a folder, but fails when I point to the root directory of my GIG sample drive. I forget the exact error message though.
2. The audio stops when another audio device is added. I'm guessing that this is a limitation of the 32 channels or something?
3. The GIG editor crashed when I tried to edit a couple of instruments.

Anyway, this latest version is GREAT so far. THANK YOU to all the developers for all the continued work!

hello LS team;

having here the same problem as pulsar;
testing the vsti version from 04.07.- I´m on Vista32 with reaper and energyxt2:
loading 1 sound and saving - works;
with more sounds on reloading the song fantasia displays:
There are "xxx" pending tasks. Do you really want to cancel.

Reinstall of the LS didn't help.
Checked harddisk: only Fantasia-0.8a-cvs8.jar on it.

OK, I get that stuck "Applying global stream/voice limits" dialog too. I'll try to find out why it happens. Thanks for the reports!
