The Bovbjerg's Piano - free

The market is big, the differences among libraries, too. Discuss which libraries are your digital gold, and which ones are better left in stores.

The Bovbjerg's Piano - free

Post by Hilare » Tue Mar 04, 2008 6:41 pm

Some current tests with Linuxsampler make me remembering of a 'little' piano, well known in the soundfount land, the Soeren Bovbjerg Steinway C.

It is a free Gigafile, 33mega uncompressed, so you can forget about xruns while playing this one. Waiting something similar to the several gigabits weighted commercial pianos is obviously pointless here, but i think it is worth a try.

You can find it at ( be careful, you will also find the soundfont releases ):

Thanks!

This is now my default instrument for testing purposes: it loads quick, it has a full range on the keyboard. So whenever I test the setup (Do i get sound? Do MIDI work?), this is my choice.
