Work in progress. After some small setbacks (messed up translation and a crashing gigedit) I've converted Burnie's Blanchet 1720 harpsichord to Giga from Kontakt. Here's a small demo:

J.S. Bach, Italian Concerto, 2nd Movement, BWV 971

Anders,
muito obrigado, voce e' o melhor !
= thank you very much, you are the best :)
(sorry for bragging with foreign language knowledge, I'm not brazilian but italian :) )

BTW cuse is adding the free GIGs to the LS Instruments page,
http://www.linuxsampler.org/instruments.html

it would be cool if we could add all the samples you are converting on that page (along with a demo).
just post the links to the gig and some background information if needed so he can add them to the page.

thanks again for all your contributions !
Benno

I've now finished the conversion of the harpsichord and sent it to Burnie who will put them on the original site along with the other formats. It (together with the Orgue de Salon) will probably be up soon after a QA check I guess.

Now all I need is to find me a Viola d'Amore...

I know this thread is ancient, but is the .gig version still available somewhere? On the sonimusicae site I see only the Kontakt and sf2 versions. I'd love to get this- I've tried to convert it myself but I'm not that experienced with gigedit yet and I had a hard time getting the "key release" samples to trigger correctly. Did you convert all the stops?
