linuxsampler_20111124 and above not working

Post by JickDuck » Mon Nov 28, 2011 3:30 am

Hi,

linuxsampler_20111123 windows snapshot works fine, but anything above that gives erros. The problem happens when generating a or loading a midi map with 'persistent' option. Linuxsampler backend crashes and exits. It doesn't happen when creating the map with default option, but then when I go ahead and change to 'persistent' - the backend crashed and exits. I guess the problem is when chaching samples into memory. I'll try to see what happens when loading a sample without creating a midi map.

Hmm. Funny thing happens. I tried with 20111126
When I load a gig file with no map, it works fine. Then I can even create a map with 'persistent' status for that gig file and linuxsampler doesn't create errors. BUT - if I create a map using 'persistent' status with the instrument not loaded - CRASH.

The errors only happen on linuxsampler_20111124 and above - windows snapshots.

My system: core 2 quad Q6600 @ 2.4ghz
3gigs of ram
winXP sp3

I also tried on a Pentium4ee 3.2 ghz
2gb ram, 16gb SSD winXPsp3.
I got the same crashes.

Does this have anything to do with the cross-compiling issue using the latest MinGW?

OK, I tried the last 2 windows snapshots, 20111208 and 20111209. They still don't work. Is anyone else having this problem? I assume so because I'm having it on 2 different computers.
