sqlite or linuxsampler??

Post by songshop » Tue Jan 25, 2011 11:46 pm

in fantasia the database has always been particularly flaky for me. i have got some functionality going but for me at least i can't get the database to list all my 150gig of samples without "retrieving status" messages that seems to just hang the database. Does anyone here have the same experience? workarounds? is it my system or is it just crappy ? all LS packages are from & svn sqlite 3.7.4

best

OK, so I'll assume that no one else has ever used this database feature. it's total shit anyway that wastes time and just doesn't work. i suggest it gets removed

If I remember correctly, I found the instability in the database import to be mostly connected to the feedback back to Fantasia. If you send the LSCP import command with netcat or something similar, without having Fantasia running, I think it works better.
