GIGA release trigger bug?

Post by count_fuzzball » Thu Sep 10, 2009 10:24 pm

Hey all,

I think I've found a bug with some Kontakt libraries I converted to GIGA via Extreme Sample Converter, namely the release triggers act all weird, i.e they don't appear to sound and yet the sample seems to continue playing, rising in volume until I can cut it off by sending a pedal up midi message from my sustain pedal!

I know for obvious copyrighted reasons I can't upload the gig file, but I thought I'd provide you with an mp3 of the problem:

Thanks!

Count, not all converters do a good job of conversion, and nki format in particular is subject to this. As i remember from my now distant windows days, CDXtract was one of the few that seemed to handle this task better than most. You might like to try it out.

Alex.
