Fantasia theme a little too dark.

Hi,
The Fantasia theme is a little too dark for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I like the skin itself, i just don't like dark apps with text color and background having low contrast ratio. I tried setting the text from gray to white and the background darker to make things more visible in the options but it didn't seem to do anything. When I set the color to white from the color picker, it still shows gray. Am I doing something wrong?
