Strange noise by multiple notes

Hi,

After a couple of years I still have the problem described here by another user :

http://bb.linuxsampler.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=594

Trying to play the Salamander Piano with qsampler on Arch Linux 64 with a MIDI keyboard. The the piano sounds well at first but after some seconds while playing to many notes (possibly with sustain) gives a strange humming tone, like some sort of interferences.

The linuxsampler version is the current svn version.

Anybody else with this problem? Is there any solution for this by now?

I have that problem with drum samples from http://terzmagazin.de/terz/creative-commons-libraries.
http://www.terzmagazin.de/cc-sounds/mf- ... it-ogg.zip

If I use Big Mono Drums, there are much less active voices.

Can you explain me how much voices Big Mono Drums uses?

I recognise this problem. I use f.e. 150 voices. In my case it was nessecary to start the .lscp with the next lines:

SET STREAMS 500
SET VOICES 400

I am not sure weather this is the solution for the original topic. I suppose - correct me if I am wrong- Salamander piano does not use so much voices.

Kind regards,

JanFlorijn

Hi,

When this not works, do you have the possibillaty to upload your Salamander piano gig files and .lscp file to a cloud server?

Kind regards,
