This forum section was originally created while we were discussing a new, additional engine and sampler format designed from scratch. In the meantime this resulted in our new SFZ2 engine, which is already implemented to a large extent. However this is still the right place for ideas, feature requests, drafts and plans for new engine / format concepts and ideas. We now have 3 sampler engines (Gig, SFZ2, SoundFont 2). Why not having more?

Hi, I know that I may seem annoying

, but when you think you can release an implementation of the "offset" opcode in the SFZ engine?
I'm waiting for it to be implemented... I have hundreds of drum sounds that wait to be played with LS
Thanks!

Second this. Loading beat sliced drum loops in LS is basically a non starter without this opcode, isn't it?

Right, but most important: in Battery3 a tipical snare has 30-40 layers, and each of them has a different offset.
Previously I planned to trim each of them, but it will take too much time, so I'll wait.
I see that now there is a new CVS snapshot that implements some opcodes, I'll check if offset is implemented.

Parsing "offset" would be good. Implementing "end" so that end=-1 worked correctly would be good, too. Now I've some free time, I might see about getting a development environment set up for working on LinuxSampler's SFZ implementation.
