NKI Tool - Not Reading Later NKIs?

Hi guys,
My first post on the forum, so - hello!
I have a quick question regarding the NKI Tool. Has NI changed the compression used in the file format in version 4 (I haven't got v3 to test). I'm getting a zpipe error when I use the tool:
zpipe: invalid or incomplete deflate data
Any help much appreciated! Thanks,

Update: Just found in the release notes for Kontakt 4.2.2 at

- New binary file format for increased saving/loading performance
A shame there's no way to use the legacy format...

BTW I'm talking about user created monoliths, not NI protected ones.
