Stereo to Mono .gig

Would it be possible to get a tool for LS that converts the stereo wavs in a gig file to mono?

For many sounds - even the orchestral sounds - stereo is not that relevant and moving to mono would save half of the needed ram (and disc) space.

You mean an all in one tool for this task?

There is e.g. the command line tool gigextract which exports samples of .gig files, it comes as example app with libgig. But of course you would need to convert the exported .wav files with some sample editor application afterwards and replace the samples in the .gig file then with e.g. gigedit, or you need to write a C++ tool on top of libgig which could that work for you in one rush.

Yes, a small all in one tool would be great.

A very simple one:

Choose a folder with your gig files
Choose a destination folder for the Mono-Gigfiles
Press "enter" and go for a cup of coffee. :)

Right now I convert the gig-files into Kontakt format, batch convert the samples to mono with Reaper and convert back to Giga. This takes forever.

I would donate for having such Tool.
