Linux Sampler and subProject Licensing
Posted: Sun Jul 03, 2016 8:02 pm
Presently, the licensing detail appears to be only briefly stated on the download page,
http://linuxsampler.org/downloads.html
Further to recent exchanges on the mailing list, the suggestion is hereby made ( for those that care about such matters! ) that the licensing of Linux Sampler and associated sub-projects is further qualified, ratified, and where appropriate, updated.
The discussion relates to GPL ( 2 or 3? ), Commercial Exception, and in the case of the Linux Sampler Control Protocol, the LGPL. incidentally,
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/why-not-lgpl.html
Cheers!
Chris.
