Post by Alex » Tue Mar 10, 2009 12:15 pm

For those who use the mighty Jconv in partnership with LSampler, Fon's has updated it with some new features.

Download, and check out the README for more details.

Thanks Fons!

Wait a minute!

I've had 0.2.0 installed since January, me thinks.

Really?

Hmmm.

Fons has replied in the mailing list, that he's just upgraded it, and posted it last night.

I'll check, but i am pleased to see the new /copy function, with which we can 'share' an impulse across inputs and outputs, making CPU usage more efficient.

I don't recall seeing that in Jan, so maybe he's kept the version number, and updated the app....secretly.

Alex.

p.s. I'd consider any publicity for jconv a good thing. 8-)

The jconv-0.2.0.tar.bz2 I've just downloaded is exactly the same as the one I've already had downloaded, compiled and installed. And none of the files in it were timestamped later than December 2007.

Yep, there's been a slight delay.

Should be tonight.

Ok, we're live.

New Jconv is version 0.8.0, tested and working.
You'll need to install the updated zita-convolver as well. (now version 1.0.0)

Fons has included some Ambisonic config examples, more user friendly comments explaining functions, and naming options for jack, amongst other goodies...

It rocks.
