#linuxsampler IRC channel

Post by ccherrett » Tue Sep 16, 2008 5:12 pm

Hey everyone,

We have a channel on freenode called #linuxsampler. I am always idle in there in hopes it will someday pick up in traffic. I often see people come in there see only me and comment that the project must be dead and leave.

If there are any regulars to the forum that could idle in that channel that would be great. I have had some good discussions in there and find it a great way to communicate.

Please join if you can so we can get that presence going full force.

Thanks!

Personally I don't care that much for IRC. I don't have time to hang out on a channel (and I don't see the point in being on one if I'm not in front of the machine and willing to converse).

IRC is one of the riches community experiences I have ever had in my life. I have been able to collaborate with other developers and in other projects in ways that I would never had the opportunity to otherwise. I think it has it's place.
