Hi all,

Maybe it is a bit too early but at a later stage it would be perhaps make sense to open a dedicated forum where people can post their music made with LinuxSampler.

For example in this demo the user used LinuxSampler which plays SampleTekk's TBO Piano:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... ID=4748692

This was rendered by the same user using LinuxSampler on Windows. Quote from the user:
I "fired up" a Chopin midi-file, loaded the "PMI Emperor GS3"-piano and recorded it with Audacity.
For those interested, here is have it sounds;

So if you hear about music made with LinuxSampler or produce some cool demos, songs, mockups yourself please let us know, we will gladly add them to our Demos page on the LS site and of course credit you, link to your home page etc.

As said the demos on the LS site are now a bit old and new audio clips which fully exploit the sampler's would be very welcome as new users often judge the capabilities of an application by looking at screenshots, watching video or audio demos.

Alex is an orchestral composer and said he will produce an orchestral piece using a large template and thus showing of what the LS engine can do already drooling to see hear the demos :)

On garageband.com, Grigor Iliev, the JSampler author is currently at rank #1 with his song The Lonley Ballerina.

Music made with self-made tools .... LinuxSampler :)

Congratulations Grigor, we are all proud to have such a good pianist in our team.

If i didn't need sleep, i'd be further ahead....
LS is outstanding. Just keeps going all day without a problem. I am ecstatic with the performance.

More to come!

Alex.

Two demonstrations of Mats Helgesson's Maestro Grand piano GIG in LinuxSampler.

The Maiden And The Nightingale, by Enrique Granados (1867-1916):

Form For Piano, by Stefan Wolpe (1902-1972):

http://linux-sound.org/audio/sw-form1.ogg

Rather different musics. Beware of extreme dynamics in the Wolpe piece !

I made the MIDI sequences in the late 1980s, with Voyetra's Sequencer Plus Gold. These performances were played by SPG (running beautifully in DOSemu now) and recorded to ecasound. The WAVs were trimmed and normalized with ReZound, with no other audio processing.

I've posted some demos on my last.fm page. I wrote "Cue 1" yesterday evening as a small test using Rosegarden (sequencing), Linuxsampler (sample player) and Ardour (recording and mixing).

Hi, I've done this composition all with Linuxsampler. And found it's major advantage comparing to the Gigastudio 3 (I own, too) is, that LS is more stable than Gigastudio 3 and more accurate time is possible due to the vsti Plugin of LS (Gigastudio 3 is only capable to use rewire connections).

Samples are taken from the delivered VSL extract I got in the Gigastudio 3 package and from the "Siedlaczeks advanced Orchestra".

Title: "Hans war im Zimmer"
This is something like "Hans was in the room" in english speech and a homage to the famous Composer Hans Zimmer.

Have fun !
