Re: Fantasia bindings list too large to fit into screen

Grigor, yes that's the one. Another observation. After you fixed the width of the port names in the combobox for a channel, i noticed the same challenge in the instrument wizard. The combobox for selecting an articulation inside a multi artticulation gig doesn't expand to fit the longest file name. ...

LADSPA lscp.....

Just noticed the added LADSPA commands in the news section of the website. Good news and more power to LS. Thanks to the devs. A question. At the moment, when we create a channel in LS (and Fantasia is the weapon of choice here), there is currently no way of routing any audio into LS with something ...

Re: LinuxSampler 2.0 ?

Norbert, we've not long had a V1 release. So i think a V2 will be a little while yet.

Stay tuned. :)

limit on midi ports per device

I've been experimenting with pushing the limits on midi and audio devices, and discovered that a midi device has a limit of 100 ports. Is this an arbitrary decision and could it be changed to a larger number, i.e. 250 midi ports per midi device, without any repercussions? Alex. p.s. a gentle reminde...

Re: ls16: another take on a LS DSSI plugin

Luis, thanks for the detailed and user friendly responses. I'm a bit wiser now as to what's going on. I hope Christian and Andreas can provide some clues for you. I appreciate the time and effort you put into this, and as a user, i'd like to see ls16 become another incarnation of LS for more users t...

Re: ls16: another take on a LS DSSI plugin

Luis, i guess my first question as a reply is, why does ls16 need so much memory to create a thread, and the bits? If i load only 10mb of gig files, for example, i lose a large chunk of memory i can't use. I would also ask, if standalone LS can use so little memory, not only for startup, but for it'...

Re: ls16: another take on a LS DSSI plugin

Luis, maybe a clue. In a standalone instance of LS, only a fraction of the gig sample lib is loaded into memory. So if i have 12 gig files representing my 1st violins (each one with multiple articulations), they're still going to be really efficient, and use negligible memory in relation to their si...

Re: ls16: another take on a LS DSSI plugin

Hi, Alex. As we already discussed by email, I need to be able to reproduce the condition you reported before I am able to do anything about it. ls16 is just a small link in a fairly complex toolchain which hasn't seen many use thus far, we are treading some new ground here: DSSI support in MusE is ...

Re: ls16: another take on a LS DSSI plugin

Luis, ls16 works pretty well in Muse too. I would add here, that having 2 instances in a project can be problematic on startup, so maybe you could have brief glance at the DSSI in Muse, and check how ls16 reacts with the muse startup sequence. (Ideally, user with larger templates might employ 8 or 1...

ProgramChangeQueue = 100

I have an LS challenge to deal with, related to this error in the terminal. "DiskThread: ProgramChange queue full". when a big muse template starts up, it sends patch notfications to whatever's attached. (in this case, LS) The fifo setting in muse is set to 512, and in ProgramChangeQueue it's set to...
