Re: Crisis General Midi responds to whacky program changes?

Aaarg. I finally tracked down what was causing this.

The indexes in each the giga file were messed up when I re-ordered it so that each instrument was in the GM instrument order!
I just had to rebuild my midi map for all 128 melodic instruments and the drumkits!

Re: Crisis General Midi responds to whacky program changes?

When I attempt to select the edit option in the right click menu when clicking on an instrument from CGM, Fantasia throws out this: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: setSelectedIndex: 110 out of bounds at javax.swing.JComboBox.setSelectedIndex(JComboBox.java:...

[SOLVED] Crisis General Midi responds to weird prog changes?

Hey all, I'm using the latest CVS of linuxsampler and up until recently, the Crisis General Midi giga file I use seems to now respond to whacked out midi program changes, for example midi bank 1, program 0 is 111 Shanai, which is very wrong. I've checked both the giga file and my midi map i've made ...

Re: Crisis GM 3.01: Now in .gig format!

Ok, the first release of CGM4LS is here. http:///moose.linux-coders.org/Soundfonts/CGM4LS Given the size of it, I would appreciate it if a mirror could be hosted for the rar files! Changes: Replaced Clavinet - From Dsix Magic 20.9.sf2 Replaced Dulcimer - From FreeTime General Midi 6.3.sf2 Replaced D...

Re: Crisis GM 3.01: Now in .gig format!

Luisgarrido, I did e-mail the creator of the soundfont a while ago, asking for clarification on the license, he said that it only meant that you're not allowed to sell the soundfont, but you can use it to create commercial music, use it at paid gigs etc etc. I will agree, it could be worded a lot di...

Re: Crisis GM 3.01: Now in .gig format!

Hey dakylla,

No problem! I found there was no native giga General Midi soundset anywhere, so I decided to just convert the Crisis GM 3.01 soundfont to gig format.

I've played through a few midis and overall, the quality is just brillant!

Re: Simple Sampler

Hey Norbert, In the Fantasia GUI, if you click on the device tab and then click on the gray button underneath the boxes marked Midi devices and Audio devices, you can create audio output ports and midi input/output ports. My advice would be to read this http://www.linuxsampler.org/windows.html It sh...
