Re: SFZ

The sample formats (for SFZ) supported by linuxsampler are wav, ogg, and flac (since early 2013). I always convert SFZ with wave samples to flac which reduces size by 50-70% and results in faster loading of samples. Even though you might think flac would require additional CPU to decode it seems the...

Re: no sound

Have you checked that the audio out of linuxsampler is connected to the system playback? jsampler does not make the connection automatically.
As for the gig loading problem look at jsampler->Window->Backend log and look for error messages.

Re: Ubuntu Studio Alsa midi support

To interconnect alsa/jack midi run "a2jmidid -e" which will create jack midi ports for all alsa midi ports, i.e. the alsa midi port will now be visible to jack midi and you can make connections using jack midi. I suggest just running a2jmidid whenever you start jack.

Re: What's the latest on unpacking large SampleTekk .gig fil

I have bought some gig files from Sampletekk, and always asked for the actual gig files which they sent on DVDs (don't know why they can't make these available for direct download, however). However, Sampletekk always messed up my orders on the 2 occasions I bought from them, such as sending me the ...

Re: Searching for a programmable midi lv2 plugin

The only midi-related lv2 plugins I know about are the pizmidi plugins (oringally VST, converted to lv2). Maybe you could use one of those as starting point.
Also, you can use mididings which a python package to manipulate midi, though it runs standalone, not as an lv2 plugin.

Re: Help with installation, please

The applications you see listed on kxstudio are just ones developed specifically for kxstudio. The kxstudio ppas have many linux audio applications, such as linuxsampler. My general advice for doing audio on Linux is to use a specialized audio distribution such as kxstudio, ubuntustudio, dreamstudio...

I do not know about these opcodes either. Try writing to Linuxsampler-devel email list: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/lis ... pler-devel

Re: Compiling LinuxSampler in Fedora 19 - libgig not found

Possibily you might have a old libgig installed either in a different location or in the same location and the links are screwed up by having multiple versions. If you have linuxsampler stuff installed via packages try to remove those first before building linuxsampler. Note that you should see seve...
