Re: After 20111023 LS cannot read LSCP on Win7
After some unfruitful experiments with newer compiler versions, I installed the same mingw.org version that was used on the old server. The bug should be gone now in the 20111120 installer.

Re: After 20111023 LS cannot read LSCP on Win7
There seem to be some problems with exception handling in binaries generated by the Debian mingw32 compiler. An exception is thrown from the libgig dll, and is meant to be caught by the code in linuxsampler.exe, but instead one gets the error you reported. I switched from the "mingw32" package to "g...

Re: Failed to launch backend
Weird. Nothing should have changed I think. Is this PowerPC, x86 32 bit or x86 64 bit? Standalone, AU or VST? Fantasia or QSampler? Which was the latest version that worked?

Re: Seg Faults
Can you please run "ulimit -c unlimited" before starting linuxsampler (so the segfault creates a core file), start linuxsampler, run gdb linuxsampler <name of th e created core file>, type bt in gdb and post the stack trace?

Re: After 20111023 LS cannot read LSCP on Win7
OK, I can reproduce this. Trying to load an sf2 file gives an DLS::Exception on win32. 20111023 was the last version built on our old build server. The new server uses a different version of the MinGW cross compiling environment. On the old server MinGW was built with the x86-mingw32-build-1.0.1-rc1...

Re: Server crash upon startup on Vista (RegCloseKey)
The hang when loading gigs was a bug in mingw-w64, which is fixed now. The ASIO problem turned out not to be a problem at all - it was a direct x wrapper driver in my system that opened a dialog behind Fantasia that fooled me. The behavior wasn't new for the new build either. So, please test linuxsa...

Re: Server crash upon startup on Vista (RegCloseKey)
It seems as my build system upgrade caused other problems. The build was unstable when I did a quick test - it caused fantasia to hang and also hang during loading of some gig files. I've renamed it to "NOT_WORKING" at the download directory.

Re: Server crash upon startup on Vista (RegCloseKey)
Hi,
Thank you for the tip you found on google. Please test the latest build, linuxsampler_20111020_setup.exe. I have updated the mingw64 binaries on our build system hoping that this will solve the problem.

Re: Linuxsampler still is not working on some Windows based PCs!
The LinuxSampler Windows installer includes three versions of LinuxSampler: one 64 bit, one 32 bit with SSE instructions and one 32 bit without SSE instructions. The installer is supposed to figure out which one of the two 32 bit binaries that should be installed. For example, in the latest build, l...

Re: SFZ
Hi, is it possible to use multichannel Wav or OGG Files instead of simple Stereo or MONO Files in SFZ?? No, sorry, it's not currently possible. By the way, is there a short delay when playing two sounds via the same midi channel? Or are the two sounds played back sample-synchron?? I'm not sure, but...
