Do you have the dev files of libsndfile and libuuidd installed on your system?Eddy G wrote:But still if I try e.g. libgig-3.2.1-2.rncbc.suse103.i586.rpm it will give an error, that libsndfile.so.1 is needed, and libuuid.so.1 is needed.

Re: Utilizing My Resources
A challenge with the latest Fantasia. If too many patches are labelled persistent, then during loading i get 'Midi intruments read timed out,' and other failed messages related to the midi and audio devices. Read timeout occurs when the linuxsampler lscp server is blocked long enough. I should incr...

Re: A Modest Proposal...
I wasn't able to find sfz v2 spec. Is it safe to assume that the differences are only in new opcodes? I only found this.

SFZ
Is there a reason not to use the sfz format ? Are there any shortcomings in the design? It is free, expandable and there are converters that support it like Extreme Sample Converter . I'm not much familiar with the instrument formats and I can't say for sure that sfz format can be expanded to provid...

Re: MIDI over LAN
The problem is that there is no Java 6 for PowerPC-based or 32-bit Intel-based Macs. Only for 64-bit Intel-based Macs.LOL. So much for Javas "compile once, run everywhere" (if you're correct).

Re: Utilizing My Resources
It turns out that there were an efficiency issues on LinuxSampler side, too. I just made some optimization and now I can load 800+ MIDI instruments in Fantasia for about 6-7 seconds
Hope I didn't break something else, so testing is appreciated!

Re: MIDI over LAN
Is there a way of knowing if midi is getting to LS? I don't know if it's a midi or audio issue or both? The MolCp3 ports show up and allow routing to LS midi ports in Midi Patch Bay. I guess you are using qsampler, right? In qsampler on the sampler channel screen, right above the instrument name, t...

Re: Utilizing My Resources
Definitons from the LSCP spec : "ON_DEMAND" - The instrument will be loaded when needed, that is when demanded by at least one sampler channel. It will immediately be freed from memory when not needed by any sampler channel anymore. "ON_DEMAND_HOLD" - The instrument will be loaded when needed, that ...
