Re: Beginner Needing Some Windows Help

Hi Stephen,

Your ASIO4ALL screen shows that the speaker output is disabled as something else in Win7 is using sound... You'll need to find out what that is and get ASIO4ALL running with that enabled before you'll get sound :)

Re: List of wine/wineasio music applications

I also have Hauptwerk 32bit Free Edition working well with Wine/Wineasio (Virtual Organ Software). The Basic and Advanced Editions need an Alladin HSDP dongle license to run and it seems that Alladin put out a linux/wine driver for Ubuntu 8.04 - but I have not got it working (yet) as I'm running 9.1...

Re: Midi connect failed - USB Midi Controller

Hi Robert, I'm not a programmer so I can't comment on whether LinuxSampler has a problem with umlauts, but I can suggest a workaround for Windows XP. 1) Install a software virtual MIDI cable (if you're running LinuxSampler in 32-bit then use MIDI Yoke, if 64-bit then LoopBe1) 2) Install MIDI-OX (bot...

Re: Salamander Grand Piano Relased

Hi Guys, I have downloaded the Salamander Grand but have not had time to try it out yet... but I wondered if there would be an interim 'test' release of the latest CVS of LinuxSampler for Windows available soon? Does anyone have a build that they are willing to share so that we could use our favorit...

Re: LSCP commands

Hi Norbert, Linuxsampler running in Windows uses the ASIO audio driver. While it may be possible to compile 'linuxsampler for windows' with 'jack for window's support, this has not been done (please developers, if this is possible could we make it so!). If you need more information about what the LS...

Re: Crisis GM 3.01: Now in .gig format!

Hi Andrew,
I'm looking forward to your first release :-) This will potentially open the LinuxSampler world to a whole host of new users... so once the release is done we must post the news on some other forums and blogs (KVR, Linux Audio, etc.).

Re: Linuxsampler32.dll is NOT recognized from my DAWs as VSTi

Hi Markus, As both computers are running WinXP SP2 (and we assume both are 32-bit), the problem must lie somewhere in the configuration of the VST hosts. Have you added the 'C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins' to the VST search directories and then re-scanned the VSTs so that Reaper or Sonar can ...

Re: LS french translation

Hi Oliver,
I'm hoping that you get the various docs from whoever has them as it would be great to have a manual in English as well as French! I only know of the information available on the forum and the from the linuxsampler homepage, so can't really help.

Upsampling and need to keep WAV markers

Hi Guys, I need to upsample/resample some WAVs from 44.1khz to 48khz and everything I try from the command line creates a new file and therefore looses all loop and release markers. Does anyone know of either a commandline utility or an Audio App in Linux with a batch processor that will upsample/re...
