This is a series of monthly polls, features will be removed in new polls as they get implemented and new will be added along the way. You get two votes to spend per month...

Re: SFZ

Ok, it start to feel like all I do is talking to myself these days. Something I hope will change now as I need some help. Can I take you up on your offer Grishata? I have now typed up most of the LinuxSampler SFZ Implementaton chart. It probably still contain some mistakes and omissions (or rather I...

Re: SFZ

Now I'm just anal and documenting everything that won't be supported by LinuxSampler. Like SFZ v1 stuff that can be considered deprecated.

Re: SFZ

Yeah. I'm going to go through my chart and start to strike out stuff that's either Cakewalk specific or that I don't intend to support to begin with or at all. Good, no shame in it, theres plenty of stuff i dont yet support from Dimension Pro. :) My first step has just been to get a complete overal...

Re: SFZ

1) The meaning of opcodes found in the filter and modulator tables ending with: *_smoothccN, *_stepccN, *_curveccN? Smooth is a low pass filter on speed of parameter changes and its in ms. Example from one of my SFZs from Microsoft Songsmith (you can download that for free btw - not sure it runs in...

Re: SFZ

Status update I finally start to see the end of the definition file parsing bit of libsfz and hope to be concentrating on the articulation API bit soonish rather than lateish. For the record, I asked about a clarification of the SFZ2 spec yesterday: I have still got problems wrapping my head around...

Re: Sampling itunes w/Linux sampler (too complicated for me?)

I was tempted to simply answer: Yes. But... If it's an MP3 why not just open it in Audacity or any other sound editor to extract the samples you need? Of course you will need to seek permission (a "release" in legalease) from the right holder to the song you're sampling (unless you're using somethin...
