LS AU 64 bit crashes Reaper X64

Apparently severeal instances do not share (sample) ressources. Inserting 4 instances each with a loaded string sample and copying these channels 3 to 4 times (i.e. 12 to 16 instances in total with the same 4 samples) crashes Reaper. With each instance the already loaded samples are loaded another t...

Re: How to setup multiple MIDI Ports for LS VSTi (winXP 32bit)

Will this be fixed in the near future? Or is there a workaround?

Re: LinuxSampler AU plugin

Is the AU plugin still alive? I still have issues with the vienna ensemble host. LS AU will unload any sample as soon as you connect VePro to your main host. The 64bit version allows to insert a buge ammount of instances - I stopped at 50 (!) - with a low memory footprint, but I have absolute no sou...

OSX VST Version

I would like to suggest a VST version for OSX. The Audiounit seems not to work very good at least in my testing. I tested in Reaper, Vienna Ensemble Pro and Logic. AUs tend in general to be more problematic than VST. The AU crashes Logic when you insert more than 9 Instances, it crashes Reaper when ...

Re: Joining individual gig files together?

I should be more clear: Say I have a gig file named Bourdon 8.gig that has got modwheel crossfades and release samples and I want to combine that single patch in the gigfile with another gigfile, say Bourdon 4.gig. So I can have a single gig file with two patches in it, Bourdon 8 and Bourdon 4? Thi...

Re: Joining individual gig files together?

I am not sure what exactly you mean with joining, but there is a sampleplayer named Samplelord that can combine several gigs to a so called collection. A collection is created with a simple textfile stating name and location of the gig files.

Re: opensource sample lib format

Huh? MIDI instrument Map is what LinuxSampler use to interpret banks and program changes. You are totally right. I did this with samplelord. There are same features to reduce the preload of the samples and I was curious how far I could go with this. It was possible to combine ALL VSL string samples...

Re: opensource sample lib format

While I guess the GIG format supports internally defined bank and program numbers for its instruments Yes, I used this feature once to create a gigantic VSL string file including ALL violin samples organized in bank and instruments - just as a proof of concept. With bank and program change you coul...
