Basically we live in FFT world. It's used for a surprising amount of stuff. If you can think of an application it's most likely used for it.

If Im not mistaken Alex used a Fairlight so he may be able to help. I'll see if I can find a manual for the Synclavier for you.

Wendy Carlos is one of my hero's. The Tron soundtrack still kick's ass after all these years. Delia Derberyshire http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delia_Derbyshire is definitely my all time hero when it comes to sampling though

In a perfect world Id love a semi modular architecture. So far... Best Monolithic Sampler = LinuxSampler. Handsdown this is the best out there by miles. I cant find that file in in my /.qt folder. I can see othet QT programs like qsampler and qjackctrl but no qractor.
