If I remember correctly, I found the instability in the database import to be mostly connected to the feedback back to Fantasia. If you send the LSCP import command with netcat or something similar, without having Fantasia running, I think it works better.

You can use libsndfile 1.0.23 if you add "--disable-shave" to the configure options.

No, there's currently no such mode supported. The audio thread simply counts on the disk thread to keep up, to always have data ready. The audio thread never waits for the disk thread, which would be needed in a freewheel mode.

It's not a real release, but have a look at the news section at www.linuxsampler.org. You can now try out the CVS version on Windows without needing to compile it yourself.

LinuxSampler LV2 uses the Save/Restore LV2 extension. Maybe that extension isn't supported by Ardour? I know there's work going on for another state saving extension, maybe we should switch to that one, but I don't think it is supported by any host yet.
