However, a AU or VSTi version of linuxsampler would be a lot easier.

jackosx was not very stable and crashed from time to time.

I had also the problem that I could not load gig files with linuxsampler on osx which I could load with linuxsamper on windows.

I was able to install linuxsampler and jackosx on Leopard. I was also able to route the audio of linuxsampler to the audio out of my mac.
