Re: Crisis GM 3.01: Now in .gig format!

I hope to have the first release of CGM4LS done by this weekend. I plan on doing at least 2 releases: The first release will focus on removing those rather nasty tuning issues and some loop points etc that I came across and fixed. In the interim between the first and second release, I hope to reciev...

Re: Simple Sampler

Hey Norbert, For what it sounds like you want to do, I think what you need are midimaps. This post might explain more for you. http://bb.linuxsampler.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=319 Basically, when you have your midi maps set up and assigned to a channel, you can just send midi program changes to a part...

Re: Crisis GM 3.01: Now in .gig format!

Tuning issues are the biggest problems I'm having with the conversion so far. That and the loop points on some of the instruments are totally messed up, even in the original sf2!

But the upside to all of this work is that we'll have a high-quality General Midi giga instrument eventually!

Crisis GM 3.01: Now in .gig format!

Hey,

I'm currently working on converting and fine-tuning the 1.5gb Crisis General Midi 3.01 soundfont into .gig format.

Would the LS team be willing to put up a link to it when I get it finished and uploaded?

Thanks,

Andrew Coughlan.

Re: Error compiling latest CVS. Can't find SF.h? + runtime issue

Oh right cool.

What could I do to find out the cause of the segfaults?

Re: Error compiling latest CVS. Can't find SF.h? + runtime issue

Thanks a lot Cuse!

I did a fresh install of both libgig and linuxsampler and also of jsampler and gigedit.

The SF2/SFZ engines cause linuxsampler to segfault whenever they're selected, is this a problem on my end or are the sf2/sfz engines not yet completely usuable?

Re: Error compiling latest CVS. Can't find SF.h? + runtime issue

Just a heads up, I've compiled the latest libgig and the latest linuxsampler, but I still get this message. To fix it I just copied SF.h from the libgig source into src/engines/sf2 and then changed all instances of <SF.h> to "SF.h". But then when the linker comes along I get this: libtool: link: ran...

How does linuxsampler manage .gig files w/ diff presets?

Hey all, How does linuxsampler cache samples of instruments into ram? Does it cache all samples used by one particular preset, i.e I have a 400MB piano on preset 1 and another 500mb piano sample. Do ALL of the samples in the gig file get cached or does just the currently selected preset get loaded? ...

SF2 compatability?

This is more of a feature request more than anything, but will there be support for both SFZ and SF2 file formats?

I have a fair amount of SF2 files and, to be fair, it is a bit of a pain to convert them to .gig format.

Thanks.

Andrew Coughlan.
