Re: LADSPA and Windows help needed

Thanks for the tip. I read more closely and realised that "master" effects are not implemented so I'll have to wait a little longer. I don't want to put an instance of a plugin on every channel as this is an instrument for live performance and I cant afford to slow it down.

Thanks

LADSPA and Windows help needed

Now that LS has ladspa support, I would like to be able to add a reverb plugin to the audio output (not to each sampler channel separately). I have some ladspa plugins from my Audacity install and when I start LS backend it seems to recognise them OK. Any tips on how to go about doing this (if it's ...

Nice VST Host for live performance

I've just come across and interesting piece of software. Called "Live Professor" it's basically a VST rack for live performance including very flexible routing, snapshots of workspaces that can be loaded live, cues and midi control. LS VSTi seems to run well in it. I'd be interested to see what othe...

VSTHost problem

I know there was some earlier discussion about LS not working properly in VSTHost and wondering whether anyone has got it working. I've installed version 20090803 of LS and have tried a lot of hosts. Most work but some don't. None are as simple as VSTHost (I just want LS VST followed by FreeVerb3_im...

Re: How to setup multiple MIDI Ports for LS VSTi (winXP 32bit)

I've just confirmed the same behaviour with the VSTi hosted in Reaper. While the error message comes up in Fantasia, there is nothing showing in the LS console. I tried QSampler and the behaviour is a little different. It lets you select the new MIDI device for the new channel without giving you an ...

Re: MIDI over LAN

There is a windows port of multimidicast.

Saves having to purchase ipMidi

Re: Midi over ethernet

I know it's been a while since this was discussed but I just came across a version of multimidicast for windows. I don't have a setup to try it but if it works as it says, you should be able to send Midi between Linux and Windows using the two versions. Because it uses UDP you should also be able to...

Re: Midi over ethernet

Rather than build compatibility with ipMIDI, why not see if the MIDI parser in multimidicast can be rewritten to handle the data the way ethernetMIDI does?

Cheers

Re: Midi over ethernet

Further to this topic, I came across multimidicast ( http://llg.cubic.org/tools/multimidicast/ and I'm wondering whether we could be lucky enough to have it talk to ethernetMIDI if the ports were set correctly. Multimidicast claims to be compatible with ipMIDI. I intend to try and test it by checkin...

Re: Midi over ethernet

I'd love to have a standalone linux client. Miditzer runs brilliantly on a windows box when set to high priority. It's sluggish under WINE. I'd like to run Miditzer under windows and then send the MIDI (only) output to LS on another Linux box. This would allow me to spread the processing load but es...
