Re: Trouble getting to connect to backend in AVLinux
Hi, I got it working as follows but don't know why: I had been building everything with AVLinux's stock PAE low-latency kernel. It works great out of the box on most everything. I was also using my onboard video so as to avoid any additional issues. AVLinux uses ReMastersys for configuring drivers a...

Re: Trouble getting to connect to backend in AVLinux
Hi,
I will try it tomorrow and report back. I have it working just fine under 64Studio.
In the end, it is probably something I did - - we will see.
Thanks,
James

Trouble getting to connect to backend in AVLinux
Hi All, I have tried several different ways of installing LS under AVLinux and continue to have problems. I have tried to install the the .deb packages and I can open LS, start Qsampler but when I try to create the audio (either ALSA or JACK) it says it cannot create the instrument. Under Fantasia, ...

Re: Cant create jack device
Hi,
I am a forum unto myself! I figured it out by uninstalling and reinstalling jackd. It all works. I can port LinuxSampler directly into my Ardour. No news to most of you but it is really exciting to me.
Thanks,
James

Re: Cant create jack device
Hi,
Update. I was able to create an ALSA device and get Fantasia to work. I actually had cool piano sounds coming out with the virtual keyboard on Fantasia.
It is a start but now I cannot figure out how to get it to work with Ardour.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
James

Cant create jack device
Hi, Newbie here. I have installed LS, Qsampler, Libgig and can get it all loaded just fine. However, when I try to create an audio device I get an error with the following text in the window. I have a bunch of .gig samples I really want to use. New Audio device lscp_create_audio_device: Failure duri...
