Re: Midi over ethernet

I had a look at what ethernetMidi sends over the net and successfully got a python script to listen to it on a linux machine. It appears the MIDI data is just sent raw, a packet at a time. I can easily print to screen the raw MIDI packets as a hex dump. I also managed to get the same script to be a ...

Re: "Asio initialization error" on WinXP

The case-sensitivity is not very obvious. I got it wrong first time.

Re: Windows beta pre-release (incl. VST and 64 bit binaries)

After restarting cubase, both of these problems have gone away. Playback is now flawless :P

It's weird but it was definitely wrong, and now it's definitely right. :x

EDIT: I loaded IE to post this message, and now cubase has crashed (frozen up) -

Re: Windows beta pre-release (incl. VST and 64 bit binaries)

Hi guys, I found a little time to install and play the latest beta. It seems to be actually running quite a lot smoother, and the MIDI port now appears in Cubase :) Upon playback, notes are mostly sounding correct but I notice a couple of problems: 1. The note attack doesn't seem to be entirely corr...

Re: Windows beta pre-release (incl. VST and 64 bit binaries)

Hi Andreas,

That sounds really promising. I haven't got much time in the next few days, but hopefully I shall be able to test and report back either over the weekend or early next week.

Your efforts (and those of other members of the team) are much appreciated.

Re: Windows beta pre-release (incl. VST and 64 bit binaries)

It appears now that starting LS and loading an lscp script in fantasia is working kinda reliably. I'm using the Maple Virtual MIDI Cable to route MIDI data from cubase to LS, and upon the 1st playback of my project I get some nice sounding audio as expected. However, if I stop playback, and then res...

Re: Windows beta pre-release (incl. VST and 64 bit binaries)

Yeah the samplerate was changing when running the standalone LS. I'm not sure if it was LS doing it, and I think I might have cured that problem.

I've just got LS up and instruments loaded for the first time, I'm going to see now if it'll perform in conjunction with cubase as a standalone.

Re: Windows beta pre-release (incl. VST and 64 bit binaries)

And why does LS keep resetting my soundcard to 48000 Hz ?

This is a real pain since I have a chain of digital kit all wordclock synced and it causes a massive disruption in each device in the chain.
