Re: distorted output with all samples
Seems like we're not the only ones to have this problem Alan... not confined to recent builds either it seems - although I can't find a solution either. If we can pin it down further, I'm running a 32 bit version of Hardy on an AMD 4400 64bit dual core with 2gb RAM. I've tried jsampler instead of qs...

Re: distorted output with all samples
Hi Alan/Alex, After a frustrating start I'd finally managed to get the debs compiled & installed, only to find I have the same problem. I'm trying to set up under Ubuntu Hardy with Rosegarden as well, but using a SoundBlaster Live instead of an Audigy. Similarly sound is fine under WinXP, and in Ubu...

Re: Setting up LinuxSampler in Ubuntu Hardy
Thought a bit about the problem and gave up trying to compile gigedit from source on the computer I wanted to use it on, and compiled it on another and then installed the compiled binary. It installed without any problems, so I'm happy. No idea what was going wrong and I guess we won't, but as long ...

Re: Setting up LinuxSampler in Ubuntu Hardy
Well I've tried 'mark for complete removal' for each of the debs I installed, and started again with the first deb & installed in order. All went well. I tried recompiling 'gigedit' and got the same error.. As root.. dpkg-buildpackage -b dpkg-buildpackage: set CPPFLAGS to default value: dpkg-buildpa...

Re: Setting up LinuxSampler in Ubuntu Hardy
Hi Alex, I'd not been as thorough as I'd thought. I still had liblscp installed via synaptic.. I removed & tried again & installed, all went to plan. Also compiled and installed qsampler.. but failed to install gigedit. Can't attach the log as a file, so have posted below.. There were lots of warnin...

Re: Setting up LinuxSampler in Ubuntu Hardy
Hokay, Progress at least.. I found out what was causing the build to fail, I'd got spaces in the folder name which seemed to cause the problem. I renamed; 'linuxsampler CVS repo' to 'linuxsamplercvs' and I stopped getting 'make: *** [install] Error 2' On the positive side I got libgig_3.2.1-1_i386.d...
