There's a nice link to Iowa university, but Fantasia can't load the *.aiff files ?

Yes. LinuxSampler can only load GIG files. You have to use Gigedit to create an instrument from the AIFF sound files. The same goes for everything in WAVE and Kontakt format.

Cool! I just noticed that there's a set of breaks made by Berklee alumni Brian Transeau in The Berklee College of Music Sampling Archive. :o

Naturalstudio
Naturalstudio have released several multi-sampled drum kits and the latest edition ns_kit7free is available in Gigastudio format. Apparently this drum kit and Naturalstudio is officially dead...
ns_kit7 is now Natural Drum Kit and I was their (very, very happy) first Linux Customer :) .

They will probably not make a Gigastudio setup, but they are making XML stuff to specify the presets so it will be possible to write converters that generates other formats. Right now, I'm using a "light" version of the NDK kits on the Hydrogen drum machine, but I'm working on making NDK work for Linuxsampler -- just need to learn the system first.

A link about NDK and other formats than Halion and Kontakt is here: http://naturaldrum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15

I couldn't renew worrasplace.com so I moved everything to a new domain.

All the samples were on my Cuban music site http://salsablanca.com/ but not many people knew about it, so I created a new domain and put everything from worrasplace on it and more. The new site is http://gigasamples.com/ Please let me know what you think, and if you are into Cuban music, check out the Cuban instrument samples there as well. If you want to learn about playing Cuban music, salsablanca.com is where all my research is.

Thanks
