Neither qsampler nor Fantasia work on my Mac (OSX 10.8.3)

Hey everybody

So I've just downloaded the last snapshot for Mac, which is linuxsampler_20130514.tar.bz2, and I've moved all the files to their correct place, just as described in the README file. Well... once I tried to open Fantasia Finder said that the program is damaged and should be moved to the trash, it wouldn't even let me run it. Then I opened qsampler and it started, but all I got was an error stating "Could not start server. Sorry.".

Am I the only one experiencing these problems? I don't see where I could have made a mistake and I even tried the same thing with the second newest version of the snapshot with the same results...

Thanks for your advice!

I am getting the same behavior in OSX Mavericks (10.9.3), MacBook Pro laptop.
Gigedit looks like it is working.

I put the 'lib' folder in my home folder.

When I try to open Fantasia, a window pops up saying it is damaged software and should be moved to the Trash.

Here is the Messages window output of Qsampler:

13:40:27.402 Client connecting...
13:40:27.536 Server is starting...
13:40:27.537 linuxsampler.starter
13:40:27.587 Could not start server. Sorry.
lscp_client_create: cmd: connect: Connection refused
13:40:43.807 Server was stopped with exit status 0.

If I double click 'linuxsampler' a Terminal window opens. Here is the output:

/Applications/LinuxSampler/linuxsampler ; exit;

Any advice on how to get LS working?

Thanks,

My noob guess is that LS is not working, because I have JackOSX installed. What happened to the LinuxSampler(Jack) package that the OSX HOWTO page discusses?

Thanks,
Dave
