Hello,
another newbee having 2 questions:
*** 1*** Having successfully installed LS on my "left" computer (XP, "E-DSP MIDI Port [DC00]") I am having difficulties on my "right" computer - screens are side by side - (XP, USB MIDI adapter called "USB-Audiogerät" by XP).
Loading samples is ok, using Fantasia "MIDI Keyboard" is ok, external MIDI input doesn't work.
Other MIDI programs like "MIDI-Monitor" and "Hauptwerk" do receive MIDI signals and are working fine, LS does not.
Comparing .lscp files shows the following:
"left":
CREATE MIDI_INPUT_DEVICE MME
SET MIDI_INPUT_PORT_PARAMETER 0 0 NAME='Port 0'
SET MIDI_INPUT_PORT_PARAMETER 0 0 PORT='E-DSP MIDI Port [DC00]'
"right":
CREATE MIDI_INPUT_DEVICE MME
SET MIDI_INPUT_PORT_PARAMETER 0 0 NAME='Port 0'
SET MIDI_INPUT_PORT_PARAMETER 0 0 PORT=''
What shall I do?
*** 2 ***
"right":
Could not scan LADSPA effects: library path 'C:\Programme\ladspa' doesn't exist
- which is true for "left" as well, but there I am glad to read: "Registered internal effects: 3"
Is this LADSPA important?
Thank you for your kind help
1) USB MIDI connection 2) LADSPA necessary?
Re: 1) USB MIDI connection 2) LADSPA necessary?
As a linux user I cannot help you with your Windows midi setup, but I know about Ldaspa. Ldaspa is an open-source plugin standard (like VST) which was developed for Linux. I think the error message is harmless - it means you do not have a Ladspa plugins folder. I don't quite understand this message since I am not aware that Linuxsampler can load ladspa plugins, but maybe it can in Windows.

SET MIDI_INPUT_PORT_PARAMETER 0 0 PORT=''
Is empty. Create a midi device.
