How to install Linuxstudio in Ubuntu Lucid

Post by redss55 » Fri Feb 14, 2014 5:27 am

I'm not using kxstudio but I used to run linuxsampler under Ubuntu Lucid (10.04) (which is customized and updating is not an option)

There used to be a way to install linuxstudio into Ubuntu Lucid by adding the kxstudio repository to sources.list:

Code: Select all

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kxstudio-team/ppa/ubuntu lucid main
Apparently there is not something missing from that repository now, as I get the following fatal error when attempting apt-get install:

Code: Select all

dependency problems prevent configuration of linuxsampler:
 linuxsampler depends on liblinuxsampler; however:
  Package liblinuxsampler is not installed.
Is there a workaround to install linuxstudio that doesn't involve moving off 10.04?

Hi,

Does your problem still exists?

You use Ubuntu 10.04. That is a fact.

You install linuxstudio.

Then you install sudo apt-get install linuxsampler

Then things go wrong. Liblinuxsampler is missing.

Are you running Lucid 32 bit or 64 bit?

What actions do you taek between linuxstudio and sudo apt-get install linuxsampler?

Kind regards,

Hi,

Is this the wright place to download your version:

http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.04.4/

or do I need 10.04?

Kind regards,
