MIDI filter / scripting (?)

Everything and anything, but nothing about the LinuxSampler project.

That's why some of us have 88-key monsters, like this one:

Well my Roland HP 1300e is a 88-key monster too, sans the useful "function" button, which is one of the reasons I can't afford to ship it off to Roland for some mending despite the total cost of parts is merely 50c or so. (If I could figure out how to open it up I could probably replace the broken button myself.)

I will probably get myself a new (and slightly more lightweight) semi-weighted master keyboard anyway soon. I have my eyes set on a M-AUDIO Axiom.

And you still need a transpose key to access keyswitches? Wow...

No, no. Not all key switches, just a few instruments.

But that damn button also control the MIDI behavior of the keyboard (soft MIDI Thru on/off etc..)

Oohhh, okay! It's one of those "shift" buttons they like to put on gear these days. Man, that would be a pain in the butt.

Yes, you hold it down and use the lower octave on the keyboard to turn things on and off. (These day, yeah, I think my HP is from 1994 or so :D ). I do have an el-cheapo MIDI keyboard sitting on top of it providing modulation and pitch wheel, but since I can't turn on Soft MIDI Thru in the HP it need a separate MIDI-interface (which is a complete and annoying waste of interfaces). :x

It also take up some space in my current studio set up so I'm glad to replace them both it with an Axiom or similar. The JX-10 I also have isn't mine, I just store it for a friend, so that's just a temporary part of my studio.

Just noticed that version 0.3 of alsaseq, the ALSA sequencer bindings for Python, was released a couple days ago:
