Integrate SFZed Editor in Fantasia Front end?

Post by Octron » Thu Sep 29, 2011 1:25 am

Hi,
at the present there is no possibility to edit SFZ life in Linuxsampler via the Fantasia frontend but there is an Integration for Gigedit.
outhere in the world wide web is the SFZed Editor for building SFZ files, for example. Isn't it possible to make an integration possible to any kind of text editor?
Maybe in the same way, I cound integrate a wave-editor in my favourite DAW, namely by specifying the path to the *.exe file wherein the sample could be manipulated. Linuxsampler could have a function that recognizes whenever a file is new written an reload it into the Linuxsampler.

What is your opinion to that?
Best Regards, Markus

+1

But if someone wants to write a graphical SFZ editor, I'll be happy anyway ;-)

100% agree! A graphical SFZ editor would be a lift for the entire "SFZ mapping world" altogether!.....and if that was implemented into Linux Sampler..well maybe I should stop dreaming :D
SFZ is very powerful and editing text files is flexible but also very cumbersome. A graphical interface with the possibility to go into text mode would rock.

Hi, yeah dreaming is really good. But to be honest, it is totally great to see, that there are idealists taht write a program like Linuxsampler in their freetime for us.
By the way, anyone who wants to have free High end SFZ Sounds should have a look on this side:
