Changes to selected regions

I noticed the "add dimensions to all regions" idea in the "Features next to be implemented" poll this month. I think its a great idea however, would it be more useful to have an "add dimensions to selected regions" function to make it more flexible? Similarly it might be handy in gigedit to have an "apply changes to selected regions/dimension splits" to speed up work flow. Any thoughts?
