SFZ with advanced features

Post by robertaramar » Mon Sep 18, 2017 4:49 pm

Hi,

does someone know of any soundfont that has advanced features for e.g. aftertouch and that can be downloaded for some testing. I don't really care about the type of instruments. I am just curious of what types of advanced features can be embedded into an SFZ file and how that is done.

Regards,

Robert

Do you mean like opcodes?
You can try here with the help of google translate:

I've been experimenting with the Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra library
or you can start with some basic sawtooth and square wave presets from here at the bottom:

Google "sfz opcode", you're bound to come across something...i hope. ;)

Thank you, plusminus,

the ADSR controls in Volca Keys Square.sfz gave me some hints. However, Decay and Sustain do not generate any difference in output (from what I can hear).
Same goes for the filter cutoff and res.

Do I need to do anything special in order to modify the output with these?

Robert

After a while of making changes to sfz files, linuxsampler will not recognize the changes (on my end).
I open and export sfz files with Polyphone.
http://www.polyphone-soundfonts.com/en/download

On my debian 9, polyphone "Ubuntu Xenial 64-bit" will bark about a dependancy not met
because "librtmidi2v5" which is not in the debian stretch repos.
Installing librtmidi2v5 from ubuntu xenial gave me no problems and polyphone
functions just fine.
Check this out, an sfz generator web app:
