noisemake, linuxsampler works well on your machine. But, if you want to use it, I suggest that you install a frontend like qsampler or fantasia that you must launch separately, for selecting and manipulating gig files. You must so select audio and midi devices in the frontend and create connections ...

Tango Studio, based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. TS is very suitable, totally optimized for audio. Excellente distribution. Pierre

Hi. I've the same problem with Ubuntu Tango Studio 32bits & jack2 44100 Hz. Everything works fine, no double connections... But the sound quality is very poor, with too low volume, compared to Qsynth. I don't understand why. Strange. Pierre
