Re: Thread: WARNING, can't assign realtime scheduling to thread!

I'm no coder, but if a python script was messing up my apps, it'd be the first thing to go. Alas, the python script (it's more of a full-blown application, with a nice GUI...;) ) is the heart and soul (brains is more appropriate, though less poetic) of my live setup. It functions quite like Apple's...

Re: Thread: WARNING, can't assign realtime scheduling to thread!

Alex, that's a very informative reply. It answers many questions that I've had for quite some time now... thanks a lot! I spent quite some time trying to find the solution myself by trial and error.... Around the same time you were writing your post, I happened to hit on the solution for the realtim...

Thread: WARNING, can't assign realtime scheduling to thread!

Hello everyone, I'm running Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. Till recently, my linuxsampler setup on this particular system was working without (major, noticable) glitches, i.e very few xruns and not many dropped notes. Since the past few days, however, I'm seeing a host of xruns and buzzes and drop notes. I tri...

Re: Tweaking ADSR and sustain response parameters in Gigedit

Solved! :D

By trial and error, I figured out what needed to be done:
What I wanted was the "Decay 2" parameter to be *slightly* above the "Release" value.
Works rather nicely now!

Thanks to the developers!
Cheers,

Guru

Re: Tweaking ADSR and sustain response parameters in Gigedit

A quick update. I actually tried changing the midi CC of the pedal from 64 (sustain/damper) to 66 (sustenoto). The result: the exact inverse of what I wanted. Sustenoto seems to make the future notes unaffected by the sustain; I need the previous notes to be unaffected by the sustain. Hope this help...

[SOLVED]Tweaking ADSR and sustain parameters in Gigedit

Season's greetings to everyone! I'm relatively new to sample editing, so please excuse me if I get my terms mixed up...! I'm working with a string ensemble .gig file. For the most part, I found things fairly intuitive: I've been able to change the attack time, and introduce some release, which suits...
