Re: gigedit 1.1.0 does not compile
Working on debian stretch I too get this error:
Code: Select all
wrapLabel.cc:69:27: error: ‘WORD_CHAR’ is not a member of ‘Pango::WrapMode’
get_layout()->set_wrap(Pango::WrapMode::WORD_CHAR);

Re: SFZ with advanced features

I open and export sfz files with Polyphone. http://www.polyphone-soundfonts.com/en/download On my debian 9, polyphone "Ubuntu Xenial 64-bit" will bark about a dependancy not met because "librtmidi2...

Re: Bidirectional looping problem
I've just realized you said "loop size", as in the number of samples between the loop start and loop end points. Sorry, i should of emphasized on that . Re: Bidirectional looping problem
linuxsampler loop size needs to be in around 32000 for bidirectional loop to kick in. You can make adjustments before compiling if you're building your own. Read here: https://www.linuxsampler.org/debian.html while building instruments in gigedit, If my loop sizes are less than 32000 (usually percus...

Re: SFZ with advanced features
Do you mean like opcodes? You can try here with the help of google translate: http://www.sfzformat.com/index.php?title=Main_Page I've been experimenting with the Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra library or you can start with some basic sawtooth and square wave presets from here at the bottom: http://www...

Re: As Green as Green Can Be
The difference for me at face value is the ability to play and edit the instrument with in the daw and the .gig format offers that. If you really want to know the tech specs on all 3 then Google is your friend ;) . My library was converted using a program called cdxtract on a G4 apple powermac compu...

Re: As Green as Green Can Be
Welcome Zeugitai. The most important thing here is to research, dig, ask questions and so forth. Most of what you may want to do, can be done. You just need patience to try things out. I also was a hardware-sampler user stemming from the early 1990's till about 2007. I've converted my entire persona...
